A brand new set this week for your chillaxing pleasure, a happy result of the new monthly release schedule for this podcast. With more time between releases, I have more time to create material for the podcast. I don’t think it influences the quality of the show, but rather it’s a change in favor of variety over quantity.

We’re ringing more changes the week – membership is now officially something of the past. It seemed like a good idea in theory, but the practice didn’t bear it out. I may bring it back at a later stage, but we’re not there yet. There’s also a new HQ download options. When buying a high quality download, you now have the option of choosing between a 256kbps MP3 or a much larger, but better lossless FLAC file.

We had a lovely time on our visit home in SA, but it’s back to the grindstone and I’m still struggling to prioritize projects that I have/want to work on. There’s Suncake Lounge Vol.2 begging to be finished, a new track for Lemongrassmusic’s 100th release coming soon, creating a brand-new visual set to accompany me live (and the firm resolve to find more opportunities to play live outside of the studio). To take a little of the pressure off, these MLO sets will now be a monthly rather than a weekly release. Still, there will be chill!

And a happy Year of the Dragon! We’re enjoying the break and trying our best not to think of being back at work on Monday. I’ve managed to put in some uninterrupted hours’ work on Suncake Lounge Vol.2 – or at least as uninterrupted as it gets with a 4 month old boy in the house. Chris and I are planning to track drums for this project on the weekend.
