Live Online #17

This week’s set features Buddhist chanting from China – very similar to the style of chanting we hear all over Taiwan, too. Most recently I was exposed to these haunting sounds during the funeral ceremonies for my grandfather-in-law, though it didn’t feel appropriate to make recordings of my own then. As a stand-in, I used this recording by Ed Unlike that I found on SoundCloud. It’s used under the following Creative Commons license:

Hey MoShang.
Love that I can start the week with one of your mixes. Especially the onces from Substance as I can never make it to the live performance in world on what is very early Monday morning for me :o)
Thank you for doing this.
Lots of love

MoShang,
This is really nice mix. I found a lot of it bright, uplifting, and relaxing, so it’s interesting to hear the story behind it.

thanks!

Just discovered your website, and very glad I did! This will now be the backdrop for many a day when I’m in the office on my own and need that little bit of encouragement to focus, relax and persevere.

It makes my day to know the tunes help you get through yours, Lorraine 🙂
