ESLITE Hsinchu
(L to R: Bordeaux, Jun, Emily, me and Andy)
I’ve reached the end of my 8 show Eslite Bookshop tour here in Taiwan with the final show in Hsinchu today. I’ve had so much fun doing these that I wish there were more. I’m hoping there will be many more CD’s to come and many more opportunities to perform. A big thank you to Yichin at Silent Agreement, Mosaic and the staff at these stores for making it so easy for me.
Em. and I were really happy to see our friends Bordeaux, Andy and Jun at Eslite yesterday. Bordeaux is a dear friend from South Africa, Andy is an American trombone player whose been active in a whole bunch of band projects in Taiwan (check out their Sound Clashes MySpace page) and Jun is a fellow windcontroller player. Since I last saw Jun, he’s made the change to Akai’s new EWI4000s instrument – I’m still using Yamaha’s older WX5. Though I love new technology, I must say the WX5 has worked out really nicely for me and I don’t think I’ll be changing any time soon. I’ll probably change my tune once Yamaha introduces an updated WX, though.
